Baby check-up

Zack had his four month baby check-up at the pediatrician tonight. We love Dr. Dilling at Southern Cove Medical Associates in Loysburg -- he's upbeat, positive, helpful and so compassionate.

Best of all, Dr. D had a daughter with Down Syndrome, so he absolutely understands the role and life of a parent with a special needs title added to their perfect child.

Everything is checking out just fine with the Z-man. He weighed 14 pounds, 3 ounces (he was 9 pounds, 1 ounce at birth) and was 26 inches long (up from 22 at birth). His weight and length are really good for a child with Down Syndrome (there are different expectations than with your typical growth chart)

We get to start rice cereal now and have answers to all our first-time-parent questions about things like dry winter skin tips.

I still can't believe the little guy is already just about four and a half months old! Where has the time gone?
