Back to School 2011

The groceries will last longer. The house will stay cleaner and I will get a little free time each night now that the kids are going to bed earlier. Yep, the first day of school for 2011 has come and gone and we are settling into a new routine again. This is me sighing with relief...even if I DID sob for most of my morning commute yesterday after watching them get on the bus. For one brief second, my youngest Piper looked back at me with a look that said that she still wanted ME. That maybe growing up wasn't the best idea even with the most awesome zebra print back pack ever and Twinkle Toes on her feet. And for a moment, I agreed with her and wanted to snatch her back into my arms and tell the bus driver, "Not this one. This one's going to stay little for a while longer." She got on the bus though and I headed to work and the sands of time keep slipping through the hour glass at an alarming rate.

Don't let my relief above fool you. It's sad to see my babies grow up and away from me...even when there ARE perks...
